The Baths at Virgin Gorda... what an amazing place!
The baths at Virgin Gorda are one of the worlds best natural playgrounds. If you are doing a BVI boat charter from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda, the baths are a short ride away and can easily be reached in the morning, leaving plenty of time for those who want to do a BVI bar hop at Jost Van Dyke in the afternoon. The baths at Virgin Gorda in the morning and Jost Van Dyke in the afternoon is our most popular combo when it comes to BVI boat charters.
Getting to the Baths at Virgin Gorda
You can get to the baths 1 of 2 ways. Either by docking in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda and entering the baths by taxi OR you can grab a mooring just off the baths of Virgin Gorda, grab a snorkel and swim into the beach! Sounds like a no brainer but once in a while the surf is a little too much to make it safe for swimming in.
From Devils Bay (one of the glorious beaches at the baths of Virgin Gorda), you can easily find the trail that will take you into the baths. Once inside, you can stick to the trail or “get lost” for as long as you want.
Fun stuff to do at The Baths
Climb boulders and jump into pools. Wade through waist deep caverns like “the cathedral.” If you are thinking of taking a BVI boat charter from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda, the baths at Virgin Gorda are a must see. Stop at Jost Van Dyke on your way home!
