Reefs, ruins, and natural wonder in the United States Virgin Islands
Waterlemon Cay is located on the east end of St. John in Leinster Bay within the National Park. More reef fish than you can count, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, southern sting rays and starfish are just a few of the natural wonder found encircling this tiny deserted island. Only a short walk away you will find the ruins of the old Annaberg sugar mill plantation. A trail leads through factory ruins, slave quarters, windmill and other remains. Placards and signs along the trails describe how sugar was produced and discuss plantation life and the history behind sugar plantations on St. John and in particular Annaberg. All in all, a great anchorage with something for everyone!
